Belgian farmers who oppose the Flemish Regional Government’s plan for the enactment of a law on nitrogen emissions held a protest in the capital, Brussels. Nearly 2,700 farmers living in the northern part of the country, where agricultural production is largely common, headed to Brussels with their tractors at noon, and proceeded to the Art-Loi area, where the government buildings are located.
The prepared bill is expected to be reconsidered, but no statement has been made on the subject from the government wing.
