Demonstrations against the law “transparency of foreign influence” in Georgia continued on the second day. Protesters gathered in front of Georgia’s parliament building in Tbilisi, the country’s capital. They attempted to set fire to the building after breaking the windows and damaging the barriers. Although hundreds of protesters chanted “Russians” and “slaves,” police dispersed them using water cannons and tear gas.

In a statement made by the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, “The police had to use force to maintain order. During the protest action organized around the Parliament on March 7 and 8, a total of 133 people were detained.”
