Death toll rose to 2 in Hurricane Ida that was occurred in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi in the US. The death toll is expected to rise in the region where search and rescue efforts continue. In Louisiana, 4 hospitals were damaged and power went out at 39 medical facilities. More than 1 million people were left without electricity, including all residents of the city New Orleans. It may take at least 6 weeks before the power returns on the Louisiana coast.
