The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced a training exercise aimed at enhancing the combat readiness of the strategic missile forces. The exercise will take place across three regions and will involve the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile system, over 3,000 soldiers, and approximately 300 pieces of equipment. The Air and Space Forces and other units of the Russian army will participate in the exercise, which will also incorporate unmanned aerial vehicles. The soldiers’ overall combat training level, as well as the capabilities of modern weapons and special equipment, will be evaluated during the exercise.
Yars missiles, which can carry nuclear warheads, have a range of 12,000 kilometers.
