The Heller & Jung Space and Sky Observatory in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the south of Brazil, recorded a meteor that entered the Earth’s atmosphere. The observatory managed to view the meteor for 12 seconds with two cameras, one located in the east and the other in the north of the state, and realized the longest observation in its history. It was stated that small pieces of the meteor, which broke up at an altitude of 82 kilometers from the earth, may have fallen to the earth.

The Brazilian Meteor Observation Network (BRAMON) stated that the meteor covered a distance of about 75 kilometers in 4.5 seconds.
