Explosions continue at Popocatepetl Volcano in Mexico. Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention recorded 12 eruptions in the past day. Following the eruptions, ashfall occurred in the city of Atlixco, located just southeast of the volcano.
The volcano has erupted 113 times during 2022 and has erupted 308 times so far this year.
Lake Van in eastern Türkiye offered a stunning view as the evening sun turned the sky crimson, with shades of orange and red reflecting across its clear waters. Residents along the shore captured the postcard-like scenes on their phones, calling the sunset “a different picture every evening.” The lake, a symbol of the region’s natural beauty, drew admiration for its breathtaking display.
