As part of the National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, a ceremony was held in Taksim Square, one of the famous tourism spots in Istanbul, Türkiye. Political party representatives and non-governmental organizations laid wreaths at the Republic Monument. The ceremony ended with the singing of the National Anthem and a moment of silence.

Located in Tuzla, Yolboyu, Bahçecik, and Kaleboğazı neighborhoods, the hills are attracting more visitors each year. Local photographers use drones and cameras to capture the hills’ unique beauty, which officials hope to promote as a tourist destination.
