In the investigation that started in Kenya after the discovery of four people who were deceived by a cult and left to starve and die in a forest in Malindi town on April 15, the police found 43 more bodies. The Minister of the Interior stated that stricter regulations should be made in churches, mosques, temples, and synagogues. It was stated that the preacher Paul Mackenzie Nthenge, who was described as the leader of the cult that deceived people with the promise that they would meet Jesus, refused to eat or drink while in custody.
