A fire broke out at the Folkart building complex in the Narlıdere district of Izmir, Türkiye, around 11:00 p.m. yesterday evening. The exterior coating of the building was made of wood, which caused the flames to spread quickly. Some residents jumped from their balconies to escape the fire. Explosions were heard from time to time in the 8-story building, which contains 40 apartments. Firefighters extinguished the fire after 7 hours of effort.
