A group of parachutists faced a challenging situation when they performed tandem and single jumps from the 1700-meter runway at Fethiye Babadağ today. A storm in the area caused some paratroopers to make an unexpected forced landing in various locations including the city center, mountainous and forested areas instead of their intended destination, Ölüdeniz beach. Some of the paratroopers sustained injuries while descending and were found suspended in trees.
The injured paratroopers were immediately taken to the hospital, and the search and rescue operations continue in the area.
