A stone attack was carried out on the rally held by Ekrem İmamoğlu, the vice presidential candidate of Nation Alliance, in Erzurum province before the Turkish general and presidential elections to be held on May 14. Around ten citizens, including a child, were injured. The rally was halted in order to prevent further injuries, and the police intervened against the attacking group.

In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
