Iranian activist Damon Maghsoudi shared a footage of a conversation Biden had with an Iranian woman, during which he admitted the “death” of the nuclear agreement, JCPOA, that requires the supervision of nuclear activities of the five permanent United Nations Security Council members, United Kingdom, USA, China, France and Russia, together with Germany and Iran, during his visit to the US state of California on November 4.

“President Biden, are you going to announce that the JCPOA is dead? Can you announce it?” a woman asks the US President.

“It’s dead but we will not announce it. It’s a long story.” he replies.

“We don’t want an agreement with the mullahs…They don’t represent us”, adds the woman.

“I know they don’t represent you. But they’re going to have a nuke,” says Biden.

Former US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the agreement in 2018, and Iranian returned to their nuclear activities as before, which further resulted in US economic sanctions against Iran.

EU Nears 18th Sanctions Package Against Russia

0

EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas said a political agreement on the 18th sanctions package against Russia is imminent, expressing hope it would be reached today. Speaking ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, Kallas emphasized continued support for Ukraine and welcomed the US decision to send advanced weapons systems.

Addressing other global issues, Kallas noted some improvements in Gaza but warned that the humanitarian situation remains dire. She stressed the need for practical implementation of aid agreements with Israel.

Kallas also raised concerns about Iran and Georgia. She said sanctions under the Iran nuclear deal may automatically resume, and visa liberalization for Georgia could be suspended due to political deterioration.

Commenting on Russia, Kallas stated, “The US has also realized that Russia doesn’t actually want peace,” and called for more international pressure to end the war in Ukraine.
