On Friday evening, a man pushed a woman onto the subway tracks at the Rogier metro station in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. In the incident that recorded by CCTV, a male suspect with a backpack at the station pushed a woman while she was waiting for the subway. Meanwhile, the mechanic used the emergency brake and stopped the subway after noticing the woman on the rails. Right at that moment, other passengers on the station rushed to the aid of the woman. Later on, the woman was taken back to the platform with the help of the other passengers. On the other hand, the suspect who pushed the women onto the tracks caught and detained shortly after fleeing the scene. The suspect was referred to the court on the charge of “attempted murder”.

Lavrov Signals New Round of Russia-Ukraine Talks

Speaking at the 13th Meeting of High Security Officials in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that a new round of direct negotiations with Ukraine will be announced shortly. He recalled that Istanbul hosted the first round on May 16 and said Russia will continue to demand the repeal of laws in Ukraine that restrict the Russian language, culture, and the Russian-linked Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Lavrov reiterated that Ukraine’s neutral status remains a key demand in peace efforts.
