A police Deputy named Michael Gregorek hit the headlines after rescuing a dog trapped in burning car at the last moment in the US state of Colorado. In the incident, Deputy Gregorek from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado quickly came to the scene after a vehicle fire was reported. Upon arriving, Gregorek learned that a dog named “Hank” was trapped inside of the burning car. Gregorek immediately took action to save the dog and broke the windows of the vehicle. At those moments, the owner of the car reached the dog by extending his hand through the broken glass. After that, Deputy Gregorek, reached out the unconscious dog and pulled it out from the burning car, despite the risk of poisonous smoke. Thanks to Gregorek’s effort, the dog was saved from death at the last moment.
Deputy Gregorek stated that the dog has recovered in a short time as it came into contact with the fresh air. “Hank comes to the back window, he’s salivating, you can tell that he’s in distress. Owner was trying to pull him out, not successfully. That’s his baby, I’m not going to get in his way while he’s trying to rescue his baby but the second he opens up an opening for me I just went in there and grabbed on and his body had already started to tense up, so I knew he was really in a bad way. Nothing else really mattered at that point other than getting Hank out of the car,” Gregorek said while describing those moments.
Meanwhile, Deputy Gregorek gained the appreciation of the public after the images of those moments spread in a short time on social media.
