A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Silivri in Istanbul, shortly after a 3.9 tremor in the same area. Türkiye Unveils Its Most Powerful Bomb “GAZAP”
Türkiye has introduced its most destructive conventional aircraft bomb, the MK84 GAZAP, at the IDEF 2025 defense fair. Developed by the Ministry of National Defense, GAZAP weighs 2,000 pounds and can be deployed from F-16 and F-4 jets.
With a particle dispersion radius of 1 kilometer and a density of 10.16 particles per square meter, GAZAP delivers a high-pressure blast three times more powerful than standard bombs. Field testing is underway following lab evaluations. The weapon’s wide-area impact has drawn attention from the international defense community.
