The Ministry of Interior released footage showing guards admitting to raping and killing detainees, chaining prisoners, and using electric shocks.
Former detainees also testified, describing beatings with iron cables, forced humiliation, and deaths from neglect. Amnesty International has long called Sednaya a “human slaughterhouse,” where thousands have died since its establishment in 1987.
The arrests highlight one of the starkest examples of human rights abuses in Syria, with officials vowing to bring all perpetrators to justice.
