Three sisters, aged 9, 6, and 2 from El Salvador, were found on the Rio Grande River on the US-Mexico border, and were rescued by Mexican authorities. When the immigrant girls were found among the bushes on the islet, no adults were accompanying them.
Mexico’s National Institute of Migration announced that the children were placed in the care of the Integral Development of the Family (OF) institution following a health check.
