Members of the Van Lake Activists Association and Bazid Mountaineering Nature Sports Club raised awareness about the pollution in Lake Van and showed support for Palestine during their climb on Pamuk Mountain in Iğdır, Türkiye. Chanting ‘Don’t let Lake Van be polluted; keep it blue,’ the group unfurled the Palestinian flag.
Muhammed Akkuş, a member of the Van Lake Activists Association, said that they climbed the mountain with teams from Van, Bitlis, Ağrı, and Iğdır to draw attention to Van Lake and the massacre in Palestine.
