A suicide attack was carried out on the Afghanistan Ministry of Refugees yesterday, killing Minister of Refugees and Migrants Khalil Rahman Haqqani and 6 other government employees.
The Taliban administration confirmed that Haqqani lost his life in the attack and said that the attack was carried out by the terrorist organization ISIS.
A statement by the Afghan Ministry of Interior said, “(Haqqani) was a member of a large family that had a $5 million bounty on his head by the enemies of Islam. But unfortunately, today he was killed by the Kharijites who call themselves Muslims and declare other Muslims as takfir.”
Taliban increased security measures in the region.
