An explosion occurred at the entrance of the Jihadiye Madrasa in the city of Aybak, the center of Afghanistan’s Samangan province, during the noon prayer. According to a statement issued by Samangan Hospital, 15 people were killed and 27 were injured.
While the injured were taken to the hospital, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Landslides triggered by heavy rain have killed 7 people and left at least 21 missing in southern China. In Guizhou province, 2 were confirmed dead and 19 are still unaccounted for in Qingyang village, where rescue efforts involving 400 personnel continue. Authorities issued alerts for nearby Hunan and Jiangxi provinces, warning of further landslide risks. Similar rainfall last week killed 7 in Guangdong and Guangxi.
