According to the Tehran Air Quality Measurement Company, the air pollution in the Iranian capital was measured at 151 micrograms per cubic meter yesterday, which is unhealthy and dangerous for all age groups. The Air Pollution Emergency Committee ordered kindergartens and primary schools in the capital to be closed for one day and called on the public to stay at home.
Tehran’s physical structure that is not suitable for air circulation, the dense population, the vehicle use in the city, and the poor quality fuels used in vehicles and factories are seen as the main causes of air pollution.
