Ihlas News Agency (IHA) went to the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant near St. Petersburg, Russia, to interview experts and NPP officials about the power plant. Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant General Manager Pereguda Vladimir Ivanovic stated that they are currently using the VVER-1200 type reactor built in Turkey and said, “The security systems you see in Leningrad NPP will be built in Turkey as well. There has been no increase in radiation in Leningrad NPP for 50 years. Security measures are taken even in the event of the most severe earthquake.”
