The 6th European Political Community Summit is underway in Tirana, Albania, bringing together leaders from 47 countries, including Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The summit, led by Albanian PM Edi Rama and EU Council President Antonio Costa, focuses on “A New Europe in a New World,” addressing security, economic resilience, and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Strict security measures were enforced, with 1,500 officers deployed and central roads closed. Schools and public offices in the capital were shut on May 15–16 for the event.
