The Albanian government signed an agreement with Baykar Technology to purchase a Bayraktar TB2 UAV. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present at the signing ceremony, which took place at the Prime Ministry in Tirana, Albania. “30 people to be trained will be assigned to the checkpoint to be placed at Kuchova Air Base, which is included in NATO,” Prime Minister Rama said. “The first purchase party will consist of three UAVs who will be prepared for any task.”
Albanian Defense Minister Peleshi, on the other hand, thanked Turkey for its recent support for the Albanian army and stated that he believes the agreement will increase the capabilities of the Albanian Armed Forces.
