Opposition MPs in Albania, accusing the Socialist Party-led government of corruption, disrupted a parliamentary session by using smoke bombs. They called for a corruption investigation through the establishment of a commission and initially disrupted the session by overturning and piling chairs. Ruling party MPs had to bring in chairs from other rooms after finding no seating. The session ended after two smoke bombs were thrown, with Parliament Speaker Lindita Nikolla announcing that the schedule for the next session would be revealed shortly.

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets after Friday prayers to protest Israel’s recent attacks on the country. The largest gatherings occurred in the capital, Tehran, where demonstrators marched following prayers at Tehran University.
High-ranking officials, including Iran’s Constitutional Court head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and former IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, joined the protest. Participants waved Iranian, Palestinian, and resistance group flags, and trampled on Israeli and US flags laid on the ground.
Protesters held banners reading “Down with Israel”, “Down with the US”, and “The Zionist regime will be destroyed”, while chanting slogans such as “We stand behind our leader”, “Everyone who clashed with Khamenei will eventually be destroyed”, and “Our right to nuclear weapons”.
