Forest fires across 16 Algerian provinces have resulted in 15 fatalities and 26 injuries, leading to the evacuation of 1,500 people. The fires, currently active in 97 locations and exacerbated by wind conditions, are causing significant damage to agricultural lands and forests. Firefighting efforts continue in all affected regions, including the densely populated provinces of Bouira and Jijel.
