US officials announced that the search efforts that were initiated in the Potomac River following the deadly collision of a passenger plane carrying 64 people and a military helicopter carrying 3 soldiers have been completed, and all the 67 deceased have been recovered from the river.
Teams continue working on removing parts of the plane’s wreckage from the river and will remove the parts of the helicopter afterwards.
The accident was recorded as the deadliest aviation accident to occur in Washington DC, since 1982.
