The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that 897 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on January 21, the third day of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire.
The OCHA officials stated after their visit to Jibaliya and northern Gaza that locals were trying to build shelters amid the rubble and that there was a lack of access to drinking water because all wells in the area were destroyed.
According to the OCHA, providing food aid, opening bakeries, providing health services, reopening hospitals, repairing water networks, bringing materials to repair shelters and helping families reunite are the main priorities in the region.
