360 historic caves on the slopes of Gabar Mountain in Şırnak, Türkiye, are drawing attention for their cultural and natural significance. Known as the Hazara Caves, they were recently explored in Akdizgin village, Güçlükonak district.
Şırnak Culture and Tourism Director Celal Baz described the area as rich in human history and ideal for trekking and nature tourism. “These untouched areas must be seen. They offer a unique experience in nature and heritage,” he said.
Baz emphasized that Şırnak, once troubled, is now one of Türkiye’s safest cities and ready to welcome tourists.
