As the 2nd anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war approaches, an anti-war rally was held in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the capital of Germany, under the leadership of Sahra Wagenknecht, a former deputy of ‘The Left’ party in Germany. Approximately 20,000 pro-peace demonstrators demanded that arms shipments to Ukraine be stopped and diplomatic contacts be initiated to end the Ukrainian-Russian war as soon as possible. A call was also made to Israel to end its attacks in Gaza as soon as possible.
Sahra Wagenknecht stated that the war between Ukraine and Russia should be resolved through diplomatic means, not by giving Ukraine more weapons. She also said that Hamas’s attacks on Israel and the irresponsible war that the Netanyahu government resumes under the pretext of defense are unacceptable.
