Arin Lake in Bitlis’ Adilcevaz district, renowned as a ‘bird paradise,’ remains a refuge for various migratory birds. This lake, home to around two hundred bird species and bustling with activity during summer, captivates observers with its stunning nature, even amidst decreasing water levels.
As temperatures rise, while some migratory birds depart for warmer climates in the fall, several species persist in the region. Notably, the presence of whooper swans, refusing to leave Arin Lake despite the heat, draws considerable attention from nature enthusiasts and photographers. This enduring appeal sustains the lake’s reputation as a haven for diverse avian life.
