Two police officers were killed in an armed assault on a police vehicle during a night patrol in Russia’s Karachay-Circassian Autonomous Republic. The attack resulted in the deaths of officers Murat Kalakhanov and Roman Gushchin, while another officer sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The assailant seized a police firearm and ammunition before fleeing the scene.
