A seventh grade student opened fire on students and school security guards at Vladislav Ribnikar Primary School in Belgrade, Serbia. Local media reported that eight people, including security guards at the school, lost their lives. While the police and medical teams were sent to the scene, parents flocked to the school. The attacker was detained. The cause of the attack is not yet known.
