Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced his intention to ratify the Rome Statute, which obligates signatory countries to follow the decisions of the International Criminal Court (ICC). This move, pending approval in Armenia, could potentially lead to the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin if he enters Armenian territory, as an ICC arrest warrant has been issued against him for alleged war crimes in Ukraine. Pashinyan emphasized that this decision was made in the interest of Armenia’s security and not to affect its relations with Russia.
