Citizens and astrophotographers who want to witness the Perseid meteor shower, one of the most important sky events of the year, flocked to Nalbant Mountain in Akdağmadeni district in Yozgat, which has an altitude of 2,100 meters and is one of the areas exposed to the lowest light pollution in Türkiye.
“With this project we carry out in the Akdağmadeni forests, which is one of the darkest spots in Türkiye in terms of light pollution, we aim to bring together astronomy enthusiasts, nature lovers, and photographers in Akdağmadeni,” said Akdağmadeni Mayor Dr. Nezih Yalçın.
