at least five injured in Spain’s Bull-running

The bull-running event took place on the second day of Spain’s famous San Fermin Festival, which was re-organized this year after a two-year hiatus due to the corona virus. Hundreds of people attended the event that took place on an 850-meter road leading from the city streets to the bullfighting arena. Authorities reported that some runners were injured in the bull-running for a variety of reasons. According to Red Cross officials, five people were taken to hospitals for treatment, including a man who injured his leg, a person who was hit on the head by a falling, and a young man who was injured in his arm.

A total of 16 people have lost their lives since 1910 in the bull-running event held at the festival. The last death was recorded in 2009.
