The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has reportedly launched a large-scale drone operation targeting Russian bombers at air bases deep inside Russia.
A source from the SBU told Ukrainian media that over 40 Russian aircraft, including A-50, Tu-95, and Tu-22M3 bombers, were hit. “The enemy’s strategic bombers are burning en masse in Russia,” the source said, describing it as a special operation aimed at aircraft used in attacks on Ukrainian cities.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev confirmed a drone strike on a military unit in Sredny village but gave no further details.
