Azerbaijan is celebrating the Victory Day and the liberation of Shusha, which was attained in the 44-day lasting Second Karabakh War on November 8, 2020. A parade, accompanied by an Azerbaijani military band, was held at 3 areas in the capital Baku. Azerbaijan Higher Military Academy students also accompanied the parades by shouting slogans along the route. Despite the cold and rainy weather, citizens watched the parade with high interest.

The “Victory Day”, which was previously designated as November 10, was redesignated as November 8, the day Shusha was liberated from occupation, by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as it coincided with the death anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Israeli Attacks Kill 7 Palestinians in Gaza in 48 hours

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 7 people lost their lives and 26 were injured as a result of the attacks carried out by Israel in the last 48 hours, and that the bodies of 12 civilians were removed from the rubble of buildings destroyed in previous attacks.

The total loss of life in the attacks launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has increased to 48,543 and the number of injured has increased to 111,981.
