Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense reported that exercises of special forces units were held on the southern borders of Azerbaijan with Iran under the leadership of Lieutenant General Hikmet Mirzayev.
According to the 2022 combat training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, the units in the regions close to the southern borders of Azerbaijan left their barracks after an vigilance order issued and were sent to the regions close to the southern border of the country.
According to the exercise plan, the special forces will carry out a number of tasks in coordination with the support of the air force, missile and artillery units.
