The 2nd international conference of the West Azerbaijan Society, titled “The Right of Return – Promoting Justice for Azerbaijanis Forced to Leave Armenia,” convened in Baku, Azerbaijan. Over 100 delegates from 51 countries, including Türkiye, Germany, Italy, and the USA, attended to address the forced displacement of Azerbaijanis from Armenia between 1918 and 1991.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Head of the Turkish Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, criticized the global silence on the issue, stating, “The international community has remained silent in the face of this cruelty, injustice, and lawlessness.” Discussions focused on ensuring the right of return for displaced Azerbaijanis, resolving grievances through international law, and fostering peace in the region.
