President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the districts of Terter and Barda, which were occupied by Armenia during the Karabakh War. During his visit, Aliyev inaugurated some churches destroyed by Armenians in the town of Sugovushan, and highways leading to Talysh villages. Aliyev said, “From October 3 until the last minutes of the war, the Armenian army was in fear. It is no coincidence that there are more than ten thousand deserters in the Armenian army. They saw that they could not stand before us. They saw that their government had lied to them and sent them to death”
Stating that former Armenian Prime Minister and President Serzh Sargsyan is a war criminal, Aliyev said, “I am not the only one saying this, all impartial and independent political scientists and journalists familiar with the region say it. In an interview with a British journalist, he accepted committing the Khojaly genocide”
