Azerbaijan has sent aid to Türkiye to alleviate the effects of the earthquake, which occured in Kahramanmaraş and was also felt in Syria. Upon the order of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the search and rescue team of 370 people under the Azerbaijan Ministry of Emergency Situations set off from Baku to Türkiye. Three planes carrying a crew and supplies were sent off by the authorities to Adana from Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
