Azerbaijani activists and environmental non-governmental organizations shut down the Lachin Corridor, which passes near Shusha province. Demonstrators aim to stop the illegal use of natural resources on Azerbaijani soil, where a Russian peacekeeping force is now stationed.
Protesters blocking the Lachin Corridor route leading to Hankent asked that the commander of the Russian peacekeeping force, Andrey Volkov, who was temporarily stationed in Karabakh, visit the region. Russian peacekeepers brought reinforcements to the area where the protests were taking place.
