Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the capital, Tbilisi, with his delegation upon the invitation of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. Arriving at Shota Rustaveli International Airport, Aliyev was welcomed by the Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Georgian Ambassador to Baku, and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Tbilisi. It was announced that Aliyev and Irakli Garibashvili would hold a face-to-face meeting within the framework of the visit, followed by a joint press conference.
