Azerbaijan responded swiftly to a severe explosion at a fuel depot near Khankendi in the Karabakh region on September 25. They sent teams consisting of 10 vehicles and 50 personnel to mitigate the disaster’s effects, including firefighting and search and rescue operations. In addition, 53 vehicles and personnel were dispatched to establish a field hospital near Khojaly.
The explosion resulted in 125 casualties and nearly 300 injuries, prompting Azerbaijan to send initial aid supplies for 200 individuals and successfully extinguish the ensuing fire with their fire brigades.
