Ceremonies were held in Baku, Azerbaijan, to mark the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre, in which 613 people were killed by Armenians on February 26, 1992. Officials and citizens gathered at the Khojaly Monument, laying wreaths and observing a moment of silence.
AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu described the killings as brutal and said Khojaly became a symbol of the occupation of Karabakh. Türkiye’s Ambassador to Baku, Birol Akgün, also attended the ceremony, commemorating the victims and expressing solidarity with Azerbaijan.
