Türkiye’s STM has launched its first domestic FPV (First-Person View) kamikaze drone, the KarguFPV, marking a new milestone in the country’s defense technology. The drone successfully hit its target in its debut test, demonstrating precision and resistance to electronic warfare.
STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz stated that the KarguFPV is equipped with AI-supported image processing, autonomous targeting, and a military-grade security fuse. The drone can operate day and night, target moving or fixed threats, and perform precision strikes using a 1,300-gram anti-personnel warhead.
With a range of 10 km, the KarguFPV can fly up to 5,500 meters high and reach speeds of 160 km/h. It offers over 20 minutes of endurance in kamikaze mode and is designed for effectiveness in asymmetric warfare.
