In Burkina Faso, a recent terrorist attack on Djiba town was thwarted by the local army with a joint operation utilizing Bayraktar TB2 UCAV (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle). About 3,000 terrorists attempted an assault, but the army, supported by Bayraktar TB2 drones, neutralized around 400 extremists.
These drones, purchased by Burkina Faso in 2022, played a pivotal role in the operation, highlighting their effectiveness in combat scenarios. Additionally, Haluk Bayraktar, the General Manager of Baykar Technology, received Burkina Faso’s highest national decoration last April for the country’s procurement of the drones.
