A bear injured after being hit by a car in Turkey’s Tokat-Sivas highway Kızıliniş district was taken under treatment. The bear, who was anesthetized by the teams of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate, was brought to the Veterinarian for treatment.
Veterinarian Muhammed Ahmet Gülden stated that no fractures were found in the examination of the bear and said, “The animal was in a state of shock when it was brought to us. We have done the necessary inspection. We administered serum therapy to stop the bleeding, to get over the shock. It was the first time in my life that I saw and touched a bear so close. It was a different experience for me. After completing the necessary treatments, we delivered the bear to the teams of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate. The treatment of the bear continues at the Tokat Municipality shelter.”
