In Slovakia’s Raj National Park, a bear with a plastic container stuck on its head was rescued by nature conservation teams after 17 days. The bear survived by learning to drink water through the container and was freed by officers with the help of a veterinarian. It had gotten its head stuck while trying to eat corn from a drum left for wild boars.
Russian UAV attacks across Ukraine killed 5 people, including a child, in Pryluky (Chernihiv) and injured 17 in Kharkiv, according to local officials.
In Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said drones hit apartment buildings, with one striking the 17th floor. In Odesa, a hospital, a school, and a children’s center were damaged. In Kherson, two people were injured and multiple buildings hit, including a school and administrative offices.
